Ah yes, I almost miss Massachusetts. Kelley Square is an 11-way intersection with no lights. Don’t worry though, it DOES have a Dunkin Donuts. They’re working on a $14M proposal to finally overhaul it. It’s almost unchanged since horse and buggy days.

I’m surprised Kelley Square doesn’t have two DDs

Well that’s appalling. I’d say it was another unnecessary cost of stealing the Pawsox, but clearly this needed to be fixed regardless. Seems like the good solution would involve making at least a few of those streets not go through. The fun solution though:

Though given the shape, and the number of streets, I’d recommend at least two magic roundabouts connected together.

I guess a peanut/dog bone  roundabout would work as they are proposing. I’d actually start it over the highway, and maybe have three roundabout nodes.

I used to have to drive an F650 flat bed through there every day when I worked for AAA. Eventually I just decided my rule was if I was bigger I would go, if I was smaller I’d let them go. Worcester is awwwwwwwful.

Ugh, I remember hearing about this intersection . N ever driven through there, but I think I’ve seen enough already to say IT’S ABOUT TIME!!

Just watching that MassLive video started to stress me out, between the guy blowing the stop sign at 0:19, and the Fiat trying to cut off the Verdini truck at 0:36 (or at least it’s my best guess tha t the Verdini truck was supposed to go first here ?) .

I feel bad for the store owner in the article’s video who was concerned about parking; I have no idea how to solve that. But I think the “peanut” is still w orth it, even if it can’t satisfy everyone’s needs .

Yeah, I went to school in Worcester and grew up in Charlton. Kelley Square was a right of passage for our driving school. Haha.

Worcester is not particularly great but to be honest, has advantages over a lot of the small west coast dumpy cities that we have in CA. The crime rates in W orcester pale in comparison to west coast crime rates .

It becomes italian driving rules, you have to edge out you may be waiting a while for a gap.
